The 18cm cook's knife has a fully forged German DIN 1.4116 stainless steel blade with a full tang for superior strength. German stainless steel, hardened to Rockwell 56, is used in the manufacture of all Robert Welch kitchen knives. The hardened German steel allows for easy home maintenance and a superior sharpness that lasts. The handle is made from tactile DuPont POM and features the RW insignia, a permanent steel detail. Care instructions

Rinse your kitchen knives to remove all traces of food as soon as possible after use. Wash in warm soapy water with a microfibre cloth or non abrasive brush. Try to avoid soaking your kitchen knives and always dry thoroughly immediately after washing, using a microfibre cloth.

When washing your kitchen knives in a dishwasher:

Wash on a short hot cycle 65°-75°C (150°-167°F). Use quality branded all in one dishwasher tablets. Keep Rinse Aid topped up and Salt (for hard water areas). Avoid washing with non-stainless steel metals (this can cause rust staining). Ensure the dishwasher filters are cleaned and use a proprietary dishwasher cleaner regularly. Always avoid scouring with pads or abrasive cleaners as this will scratch the surface.

Periodically apply a mineral oil to handles to maintain their colour. Please remove any excess oil.
