Fournier Tarot de Carlotydes
Deck of Spanish origin and design that was edited and published by the well-known card maker Heraclio Fournier in Vitoria, Spain.
The Great Esoteric Tarot is a deck of Spanish origin and design that was edited and published by the well-known manufacturer of cards Heraclio Fournier in Vitoria, Spain. His style is based on the classic Tarot de Marseille but, nevertheless, a large number of fundamental differences can be found. For example, the cards are numbered with Roman numerals and the texts of the Major Arcana are entirely in Spanish. Regarding the Minor Arcana, they are numbered with ordinal numbers and do not have any title that defines them.
As usual, The Great Esoteric Tarot is made up of 78 cards divided into 22 major arcana and 56 minor arcana. However, notable changes can be found in the names of some Major Arcana as explained below:
The Hermit is called The Old Man The Hanged Man is called Picota The Sun is called The Cycle The Devil is called AKER The Star is called The Astro The Pope or Hierophant is called The Teacher The Force is called The Fortress The magician is called The Consultant and The Popess or High Priestess is called The Querent
The Great Esoteric Tarot is considered a very difficult deck to interpret since, despite containing an instruction manual, the symbolism of each card is not defined in it. However, its aesthetics and design invite you to give this very attractive Tarot a deserved opportunity.
