Archivist Matches Boxed Flying High
William de Morgan (1839-1917), along with William Morris, was the preeminent designer of the Arts and Crafts movement. This collection of matchboxes pays tribute to his work as a potter and tile designer.
Archivist uses the traditional letterpress printing technique to create its range of cards and stationery. Founded in 1994 by Sarah and William Allardice, the brand aims to create timeless pieces that imbue a sense of fun, as well as being useful. Archivist’s luxury matches come in printed boxes that double as keepsakes themselves, making them an ideal gift, whilst the charming designs on their greeting cards offer universal appeal. Some of London’s finest museums back the brand; the V&A are a stockist and the Natural History Museum commissioned its own collection.
