AARVEN 'tsavo' Choker Necklace
Welcome the power of nature with our Sun Mask round pendant necklace. Wear this striking handmade necklace close to your heart with any outfit.
This AARVEN original design tells a compelling story. African Sun Masks, also known as ‘Bwa Sun Masks’, are traditional masks used in dances and rituals. The mask is said to encourage a good harvest, and give thanks for a successful harvest. The zigzag motif signifies the path of the ancestors, and the sun’s nourishing rays.
Cast from high-quality recycled brass, this necklace is an excellent example of Kenyan craftsmanship. Ethically made by husband and wife team, Anton and Benta, in Kenya. The gold tone finish gives it a warm, smooth shine.
Complete with our AARVEN designer brass tag.
Pair our symbolic Sun Mask Necklace with our matching Sun Mask Ring or Earrings to complete the look.

The best way to polish your brass jewellery is to use a brass polish, we suggest Brasso (Always follow the instructions on the bottle). If you don't have any brass polish to hand or prefer a more natural alternative, cover half a lemon in salt and rub over your jewellery until you see the tarnish starts to lift, rinse well and polish dry with a soft cloth.
Silver needs more gentle polishing with baking soda and a damp cloth.
